Overview of Features and Design

Moosoo Xl 618A 1

There’s not much to say about the design.

The Power button can be found beneath the handle of the grip. The battery and charging port are situated on the side of the back of the unit. The unit’s dustbin capacity is 1.2L and is located on the top of the unit.

To ensure thorough cleaning, it is possible to remove the filters and the dust bin by pressing the latch on the bottom of the unit’s main part.

MOOSOO cordless stick vacuum is equipped with a HEPA filter system. The filtration system has been evaluated and proved to have a 99.99 percent success rate in taking in allergens of all kinds. It creates a high-speed moving airflow to eliminate particles from the air.

The manufacturer recommends that users replace the filters every 2 to 3 months for the vacuum to ensure optimal performance.

The Moosoo XL-618A comes with the ability to mount it on a wall. Unfortunately, it is a Docking Station that does not charge nor serves as a base for the props and vacuum. The only thing it is used for is to hold your vacuum is to put it in place.

Battery charging is easy; you just need to plug in the charger port with the cable. If the battery is charged, it will show a charging animation. It is displayed along with the current battery level.

1. Easy of Use

In this test, we gave points for the maneuverability of each vacuum and how loud, how easy it was to clean under furniture and get close to the edge of rooms, as well as the many available cleaning modes. The Moosoo produced a solid collection of results.

The vacuum comes with a low and high power setting, and you can switch between them simply by tugging the trigger. But, there’s no alternative to switching the rotating brush off.

The Moosoo can clean proximity to edges in the event of a head-on approach. However, it leaves plenty of dust behind when moving in a parallel direction with the edge.

The unit comes with the ability to swivel, making it a breeze to operate, and one of the quieter vacuums we have in our line-up has a noise level of around 67 dBa.

This vacuum also can be able to clean around 27″ under the majority of furniture, making it ideal for cleaning under couches and coffee tables. It’s not the most extensive of the models that we’ve tested. However, it’s certainly not the least.

2. Cleaning of Hard Surfaces

Moosoo Xl 618A 2

Then, we put our Moosoo through our first set of cleaning tests, testing the extent to which it could clean various kinds of dirt from floors made of hardwood. We used flour, rice cereal, pet hair, and oats to make our mess and found that the Moosoo performed well above normal, but it was a little less than top-of-the-line models (which cost more, BTW).

Moosoo started with an excellent start in this test and scored one of the top scores for cleaning up rice. It could eat almost all the rice that we put out in one move if we were slow.

The vacuum also didn’t drop grains in the process of moving backward. The vacuum performed quite well at capturing flour, although its performance decreased slightly.

We did find that the stick vacuum could only deliver poor results when it came to cleaning bigger items, such as Cheerios. The stick vacuum was prone to break them to pieces and become blocked -to the point that we had to stop vacuuming and then shake up the head to let them out.

However, the performance improved in the case of pet hair and Oats. The Moosoo did an excellent job getting rid of hairs from hard floors and removing all the oats one pass, like rice.

3. Convenience

Our first test metric measured and ranked how easy cleaning is using all the vacuums in our collection. We examined the versatility of each one, whether corded or not, its weight, and the ease with which it is to keep all attachments. The Moosoo performed very well and was awarded one of the highest scores of all.

The Moosoo is an electric stick vacuum, and it performed fairly well in our tests of runtime. The company claims to last as long as 28 minutes with low power. It also aligns with our testing hands-on. We also recorded less than 23 minutes of runtime when we ran the vacuum at high.

However, it takes approximately 5 hours and 40 mins to fully charge the battery, which is quite excessive. In terms of storage, it’s made to be wall-mounted. However, we have found that it can sit against the wall or table well even if you don’t wish to put this on the wall.

It’s one of the top options when you’re searching for an upright vacuum that can double as a handheld one, which makes it a useful device for cleaning most places within your home.

It is easy to take it off and attach various sections using the lock mechanism that clicks. We also found that the handheld attachment is very efficient and user-friendly. Furthermore, this is among the lightest models in the class, with fewer than 5 pounds.

4. Carpet Cleaning

Moosoo Xl 618A 3

The final test for this product was focused on the performance of this product in cleaning carpets. We utilized the same messes we used for our hard floor test. However, it was evident that the Moosoo fell in this particular category.

The vacuum had the wrong start during our rice test. It took three or four passes to extract all the rice on the carpet’s flat surface.

We also discovered that the rice would usually disappear from the vacuum when you turn off the brush roll, requiring subsequent cleaning. It was more pronounced on fluffy carpets, leaving plenty of mess behind in the thicker piles.

The vacuum was a little better when cleaning the flour off of flat carpets, working fairly well and clearing most of the dust. However, it was not as efficient when it was tasked with collecting Cheerios. Cheerios not only left tons of dust on carpets of all kinds but would also block themselves throughout the process.

The Moosoo also did not surprise us about getting rid of pet hair or oats, leaving plenty behind, even after several sessions.

Should You Purchase the Moosoo XL-618A?

If you want decent cleaning capabilities and an affordable price, we believe that you’ll surpass the Moosoo. It scored highly on hard surfaces and came with a considerably cheaper cost than other more expensive competitors.

If you’re looking for an additional vacuum to clean dirty surfaces and floating pet hair, this Moosoo is our suggested model.

Pros

PROS
  • A majority of customers were content with its capabilities for hard floors generally.
  • Many users agree that the stick vacuum is light and compact enough for it to fit under the majority of furniture.
  • The Li-Ion battery can be removed and performs well after a full charge.
  • Most users are extremely satisfied with this affordable stick vacuum.
  • Despite the extremely low cost, it comes with a wall mount that can be used for storage.
CONS
  • Many people don’t have enough space for a larger dust container because the bin that is attached to it is filled up too fast.

Conclusion

THE FINAL ADVICE

The MooSoo XL-618A received an abundance of favorable reviews, with most users pleased with its overall quality of performance and ease of use.

It’s a reasonably priced stick vacuum. However, it is constrained by the lack of accessories. It comes with only the floor brush and an extremely small 2-in-1 tool which limits its use to a certain extent.

However, it does have a wall mount that makes it easier to keep the vacuum in place. If you’re looking for an affordable, cordless stick vacuum that is ideal for smaller tasks in the house, it’s worth a look.
