FAQ

Do You Have to Leave the Charger on After Fully Charging? Can You Keep It Connected for the Entire Time?

There are generally several “known” rules for longevity. In the case of lithium-ion batteries, running for extended periods after it has been fully charged is harmful in most cases.

As we understand it, the device can tick down, and the charger charges it every time, thus reducing capacity and the number of charge cycles the battery might otherwise have had? Somewhere along these lines.

The device or charger would require electronic components to calculate the charge. We would guess that only the top-quality units will have any sort of intelligence for charging. About the majority of devices, disconnect them when they’re fully charged.

If you intend to store one for a prolonged period, it’s best to keep it at a lower end of the spectrum temperature, i.e., 80% instead of 100 or zero. Operating them at freezing temperatures will reduce their capacity until they return to normal temps or temperatures.

Can It Take Hair From Pets?

It can indeed do that quite well. However, it’s not difficult to make it clog, and you must stop and empty the filter right after it happens and then remove the hair from the filter.

It can be a hassle when dealing with an enormous amount of hair that you have to deal with regularly. We suggest using a full-size vacuum with a not as compact and handheld. So you can, at a minimum, get through the entire home without having to stop 3 times due to pet hair.

Does This Vacuum Work Well for Removing Hair?

We did a little experiment with this on a recent day. Hence, we used this vacuum at high speed in our low-pile area rug of 7×10 and then vacuumed it using our usual corded Shark vacuum.

We have a big, big hairy dog and a kitten and live independently. The amount of hair and dander we picked up with Shark Shark was alarming. It occupied an entire paper plate.

Then we vacuum with Eureka every day. We will likely pull out the vacuum cleaner with a cord more frequently following today’s test.

Do You Want to Stop the Spinning Brush and Only Use Suction?

Yes! We found this by accident. When we cleaned the fringed rug, we noticed that the light was going out, but it was not broken. The light was going out meant that the brush had stopped spinning.

Then turn it off, and then on, it started to spin again, and the light went on. It’s a great feature. We can clean the fringe of our rug without worrying about causing damage to the rug. Strangely, they don’t have this as a “feature.”
